Valentine's Day v2

I tried posting these pictures last week, but Photobucket and I were arguing and it didn't go well. So I am trying it again

I got this adorable idea from Skip to My Lou-- Alexis and I had so much fun making these for all of her friends at daycare!

I have wanted to make crayon rolls for awhile, and had leftover material from the girls' Valentine's outfits so I decided to make a few crayon rolls, but I altered them a bit so I could put little pads of paper in them. Did you know Michael's now has an entire $1 aisle?? Awesome. I got the crayons and notepads there. I made these for some of Alexis' friends, she was invited to a Valentine's Tea Party. Five of her cute little friends were there, so it was a perfect opportunity to make these. I have considered making these for her entire class, but there are like 18 kids in her class and these babies took forever to make.

I also made cute little outfits for each of the girls, but of course I didn't take pictures of them. I would put the outfits back on them and snap a few but they are sleeping right now and I am pretty sure if I woke them up for blogging purposes it would make me a bad Mom ;)

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

I am not very good at this whole blogging thing! I make things and then either forget to take pictures, or forget to upload them! Whoops! So, here are two of the Valentines Day projects I worked on last week. I also made very cute outfits for both of my girls, but neglected to get pictures of them wearing them!

Well Photobucket and I are fighting so I will come back to this later

My crafty little girl

Yesterday when I picked Alexis up from pre-school/daycare there was a list on the board asking each child to name their favorite machine. Most of the children listed, cars, trucks, washing machines etc.,

But my little girl? She said her favorite machine is a Sewing Machine ;)

Buttercup bag

I saw this adorable free tutorial here and decided to give it a try. It was very easy ( I had never tried pleats before), and it only takes TWO fat quarters! Score!!

I finally made something for myself!

I have so many projects I want to complete but really wanted to make something for ME!!! I had this pattern for awhile but haven't tried it out yet. I love this Heather Bailey fabric so I figured they would go perfectly together.

I love how it turned out, however the next time I make it I am going to use a heavier weight interfacing because it is a little too flimsy for my liking.

Dan thinks it is too "Bright". I will be sure to find something a little more subtle when I make HIS bag ;)
